Huawei Ghana launches Huawei Y9

Huawei, one of the largest telecommunications equipment manufacturer in the world has unveiled its new phone, Huawei Y9 at a ceremony in Accra, Ghana.

The Huawei Y9 has incomparable features that any smartphone device is yet to have.

It comes with a 4 GB RAM and a 64 GB Rom with a Kirin 710 octa-core processor.

With a screen display of 6.5 inches and four Artificial Intelligence (AI) cameras, the Huawei Y9 also includes a 4000mAH battery.

The launch which was organized by Huawei Ghana, took place at Tang Palace on Thursday, November 6. There were also raffle draws with three lucky people winning brand new Huawei Y9 smartphones.

Compu Ghana, Franko Trading Enterprise, Melcom and other business partners were rewarded by Huawei for their dedicated partnership.


The colors available are; Midnight Black, Gold and Sapphire Blue.

According the Marketing manager for Huawei Ghana, the Huawei Y9 is a ‘youthful device’ which gives consumers value for their money since they get a handful of amazing features at an affordable price.

“This is the first device in the market that has a 6.5 FHD+ display notched screen. It is also the first phone in the market that has 4 AI cameras – 2 at the back, 2 in front. And this is the first device that comes with a Wi-Fi signal bridge where you can bridge your Wi-Fi to other people,” Dennis Laryea said.

“The Y means Youth or Young, so basically this is a youthful device with very high specs at very affordable price. So we are telling people not to break their bank to get that special-feature phone they want but then you have to use a little of your money to get that special phone you want,” he stated.

Present at the launch were Bola Ray, DKB, Caroline Simpson and Ameyaw Debrah.
