Ghana Black Stars shared spoils with Bafana Bafana after 1-1 game in the fifth round of the qualifiers.

The FNB stadium saw a barren game in the first time after so two clear chances was missed by South Africa who came close to scoring.

Meanwhile an outstanding stop by Kotoko goalkeeper Razak Abalora saved Black Stars from going down in the first 45 minutes.

Brighton and Hove Albion Percy Tau nearly went out the game after being knocked down in the last 5 minutes of the first half.

Before that South Africa had had a forced early substitution of Jali 25th minutes following a hard knock by Ganiyu.

The first ten minutes of the second half produced all goals in the 49th and 51st minutes of the game.

Ajax star Kudus Mohammed Mohammed with a fantastic run opened the score for Ghana from a smooth assist from Anang Benson.

Quick recovery by Bafana Bafana brought to parity after Gamildien’s pass was neatly place by Brighton forward Percy Tau in the 51st minutes.

Qualification South Africa is still on hold as the ultimate round of fixtures will determine their qualification for the tournament in Cameroon.

Ghana take on Sao Tome and Principe at home  on Sunday, March 28, 2021.

Meanwhile South Africa face Sudan on the same day to round the qualifiers in Group C.
