
SIC Insurance PLC has presented a cheque for One Million, Twenty Thousand, Seven Hundred and Seventy-Eight Dollars, Ninety-Eight Cents ($1,020,778.98) to the Volta River Authority (VRA) in fulfillment of an insurance claim.
The payment, made on Wednesday, follows the explosion of VRA’s heat recovery steam generator, which was insured with SIC Insurance PLC.
Mr. James Agyenim-Boateng, Acting Managing Director of SIC Insurance PLC, presented the cheque to VRA’s Chief Executive Officer, Eng. Edward Ekow Obeng-Kenzo.
“Today’s payment of over $1 million to VRA is yet another proof that SIC Insurance PLC is reliable, cherishes its relationship with customers and serves with integrity, professionalism and excellence,” Mr. Agyenim-Boateng stated.
He expressed hope that the payment would boost confidence in the business community and the insurance industry, demonstrating SIC Insurance PLC’s financial stability and readiness to conduct business efficiently.
“I hope this payment will further send confidence to the business community and the insurance industry that SIC Insurance PLC is not only ready for business but also that we are stable and have a strong financial muscle to pay claims on time,” he said.
