The Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod), Sammy Gyamfi, has categorically denied reports of a partnership between the organisation and Strategic Mobilisation Ghana Limited (SML) to sanitise the gold sector.
In a statement on Facebook, Mr. Gyamfi described the reports as “completely false” and urged the public to disregard them.
“The Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod) has no dealings, contract, partnership or relationship whatsoever with SML,” he emphasised.
Mr. Gyamfi further stated that any claims suggesting otherwise should be treated with “utmost contempt”. The denial aims to clarify the GoldBod’s position and reassure the public about its operations.
