
The Deputy Minister for Finance, Hon. Thomas Ampem Nyarko, has inaugurated a nine-member Governing Board of the Cocoa Marketing Company (CMC) Limited.
The board is tasked with enhancing operational efficiency, empowering stakeholders, and safeguarding Ghana’s position as a global cocoa leader.
Led by Chairperson Hon. Mahama Ayariga, the Majority Leader in Parliament, and Managing Director Dr. Wisdom Kofi Dogbey, the board is expected to drive a strategy focused on sustainability, improved yields, and curbing cocoa smuggling.
The board members include prominent individuals from various fields, bringing a wealth of expertise to the role. They are:

2. Dr. Wisdom Kofi Dogbey – Managing Director
3. Mr. Noah Tumfo
4. Mrs. Matilda Asiedu Asante
5. Hon. Kofi Benteh Afful, MP
6. Hon. Desmond De-Graft Paitoo, MP
7. Mr. Abraham Appiah Kubi
8. Nana Kwasi Ofori
9. Mr. Johnson Nana Kyei
As a key subsidiary of COCOBOD, the Cocoa Marketing Company is responsible for the sale and export of Ghana’s cocoa.
The new board is expected to ensure the company remains a significant contributor to Ghana’s agricultural export economy.
