Ghana’s mobile money services have recorded a significant surge in transactions, with the total value reaching a record GHC 365 billion in April 2025.
According to data from the Bank of Ghana (BoG), this represents a 3.8% increase from GHC 351.7 billion in March 2025.
The number of transactions also grew, from 764 million in March to 778 million in April. This growth underscores the increasing importance of mobile money in providing Ghanaians with access to financial services.
