In a solemn and historic ceremony on May 29, 2025, Ghana officially launched its inaugural National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving, set to be observed annually on July 1st.
Initiated under the visionary leadership of H.E. John Dramani Mahama, the day invites all Ghanaians regardless of faith or background to unite in prayer, gratitude, and national reflection under the powerful theme: “Reflect, Reset, and Renew for National Prosperity.”
Delivering the keynote address, Hon. Elvis Afriyie-Ankrah, Chairman of the National Planning Committee, emphasized that this day is not about politics or partisanship, but about national humility and divine alignment.
He called on every Ghanaian to reflect on the country’s journey, reset their values from blame and apathy to truth and discipline, and renew their commitment to a peaceful and prosperous Ghana.
He further appealed to the media to serve as partners in this spiritual revival by using their platforms to spread the message across every region and community.
As the nation prepares to observe this sacred day on July 1st, Ghanaians are encouraged to come together in prayer, fasting, thanksgiving, and unity turning this moment into a national turning point for spiritual and moral renewal.
