The programme is expected to cover a wide range of sectors, including agriculture, construction, health, hospitality, and logistics. Targeted categories include electricians, welders, mechanics, nurses, chefs, caterers, drivers, warehouse supervisors, and machine operators.
President Mahama disclosed that a contract has already been signed with one country for the export of 2,000 temporary workers.
He assured that selection into the programme will be conducted fairly, with equal opportunity given to all 16 regions of Ghana, including the host region, Ahafo.
