
The Minister for Energy and Green Transition, John Abdulai Jinapor, has assured that individuals found culpable in the case of the missing containers belonging to the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) will face prosecution soon.
During a meeting with the Parliamentary Committee on Energy and ECG officials, John Jinapor stated that while some of the missing containers have been recovered at the port, investigations are ongoing to unravel the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
“We are taking this matter very seriously,” Hon. Jinapor emphasized. “The recovery of some containers is a step forward, but our goal is to ensure that all those responsible are brought to justice.”
The Minister reaffirmed his commitment to transparency and accountability in handling the case, adding that a comprehensive report will be submitted to the Attorney General to initiate legal proceedings against those implicated.
“We will ensure that all those responsible are held accountable,” Hon. Jinapor assured, underscoring the government’s resolve to pursue justice in the matter.
