
Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, the Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has been sworn in as the new Board Chairman of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA) on June 25, 2025.
He’ll be leading the GPHA alongside Professor Ransford Gyampo, the acting CEO of the Ghana Shippers Authority, who was also inducted as a member of the newly formed board.

The appointments are part of the government’s effort to improve leadership and strengthen the governance of the GPHA.
The new board is expected to provide clear policy direction, boost efficiency at the ports, and help drive major infrastructure projects across the country’s port facilities.
