The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is gearing up for its National Delegates Conference, where over 4,000 delegates will gather to consider significant amendments to the party’s constitution.
According to the party, more than 50 provisions are slated for revision, aimed at strengthening internal structures and enhancing operational efficiency.
Chairman of the Planning Committee, Joseph Osei-Owusu, noted that the proposed amendments have been circulated to all delegates ahead of the conference.
“The agenda of this conference is to consider the proposed amendments to our constitution,” he stated.
The changes reflect feedback gathered from across the party’s structures and are designed to make the NPP more responsive, transparent, and democratic.
The conference is expected to be a pivotal moment for the party, particularly as it prepares for the 2028 general elections following its loss in 2024.
