Marcus Rashford
Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has completed a loan move to Spanish giants Barcelona for the entirety of the 2025/26 campaign. The 27-year-old England international, a product of United’s famed academy, will bring his experience and attacking prowess to the Camp Nou hoping for a fresh challenge in La Liga.
Since making his senior debut for Manchester United in 2016, Rashford has been a key figure at Old Trafford. He has made 426 appearances, scored 138 goals, and helped the club to secure five major trophies during his time.
“I don’t have anything bad to say about Manchester United. I think it’s been an important part of my life, I’m grateful. I just wish them all the best and I hope they are successful in the future”; Marcus Rashford said.
Last season, Rashford spent the latter half on loan at Premier League side Aston Villa. Over 17 appearances, he registered 10 goal involvements across all competitions, demonstrating his continued quality at the highest level.
The loan arrangement highlights the growing ties between English and Spanish football, with Rashford joining a Barcelona squad aiming to restore its former glory.
“Barcelona is a club where people’s dreams come true”. What the club stands for means a lot to me as well and it feels like I’m at home, and this is a big factor in my choice”, Marcus Rashford mentioned.
