The Member of Parliament for Klottey-Korle, Dr Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings, has strongly condemned the fatal stabbing of a student at Kinbu Senior High School in Accra on Thursday, July 31, 2025.
In a press statement released on Friday, August 1, 2025, the MP described the incident as “tragic,” “senseless,” and a wake-up call for all those responsible for safety in schools.
“I am deeply shocked and saddened by the loss of a young student through such violence,” Dr Agyeman-Rawlings said. She pledged to work closely with the Ghana Police Service and other authorities to ensure a swift and thorough investigation so that justice is served.
She stressed that violence has no place in schools and called for urgent action from stakeholders in education and security to review and strengthen safety protocols in schools to prevent such incidents in the future.
Dr Agyeman-Rawlings expressed her condolences to the bereaved family, the students, teachers, and the entire Kinbu SHS community, saying her thoughts are with them during this difficult time.
She further assured her commitment to collaborate with the Ghana Education Service, school authorities, community leaders, and security agencies to improve safety and provide mental health support in schools across her constituency.
