The Bank of Ghana (BoG) has announced that the national launch of the Cedi@60 anniversary, which was scheduled to take place on Friday, 8 August 2025, has been postponed until further notice.
The decision was made following the tragic death of two ministers of state and six others in a helicopter crash on Wednesday, 6 August 2025.
In response to the incident, President John Dramani Mahama declared a three-day national mourning period to honour the lives lost.
In a statement, the Bank of Ghana thanked all stakeholders and the general public for their understanding and support during this difficult time.
