The Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council has appealed to persons, particularly residents of the communities within vicinity of the helicopter crash in the Adanse Akrofuom district, who went to the scene of the disaster and took away any item to their homes to immediately return such material to help with ongoing investigations.Â
Such items could be any part of the helicopter or personal belongings of any of the victims.
A statement signed by the Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, said the RCC has a cash reward for anyone who voluntarily returns any such item.
The statement directed anyone, especially those who were among the first people to arrive at the scene, with any such items to return them to either Members of the Unit Committee, the Assembly Member, District Chief Executives concerned or any member of the Investigating team on the ground.
The Statement gave a deadline of close of day on Monday, 11th August, 2025 for persons in possession of such crucial materials to benefit from the cash reward.
Beyond the deadline, the Statement warned, any one found in possession of anything related to the helicopter crash will be considered a criminal and will therefore face full rigours of the law.
