Felix Gyamfi
Felix Gyamfi, the Acting Director-General of the National Service Authority (NSA), has been reassigned to the Ministry of Finance with immediate effect, after serving in the role for just seven months.
Although no official reason has been provided for the reassignment, sources indicate that disagreements over the NSA’s online portal may have contributed to the decision.
The dispute centers around an audit of the portal, which revealed gaps that slowed down the posting process for new national service personnel. While the supervising Minister, George Opare Addo, advocated for a comprehensive overhaul of the platform, Gyamfi preferred to improve the existing system.
The delay in posting new personnel has sparked anxiety among prospective national service personnel and raised concerns about timely deployment for critical sectors in the economy.
Ruth Dela Seddoh, the Second Deputy Director-General, has taken over as the Acting Director-General of the NSA, and her appointment is expected to ensure continuity and stability in the service’s activities.
