The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has issued a stern directive to its members, warning them against publicly criticizing the party’s internal affairs.
The move comes in the wake of the party’s recent electoral defeat, which has sparked widespread frustration and disappointment among members.
In a statement released on Thursday, General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong emphasized the need for unity and calm within the party ranks. He cited the party’s constitution, which mandates coordination of party activities and promotes the defense of the party’s good name.
The directive specifically calls on members to refrain from engaging in media discussions that could tarnish the party’s image or create divisions. Party leaders at the national, regional, and constituency levels have been tasked with enforcing the directive and referring any violators to disciplinary committees.
The NPP leadership has urged members to remain focused on the party’s core values and work collaboratively to restore its standing. The move is seen as a bid to rebuild the party’s strength and foster unity ahead of future challenges.
