The Ashanti Regional Police Command has arrested 29-year-old Adam Mohammed for his alleged role in the distribution of narcotic substances, particularly various doses of Tramadol.
Mohammed was apprehended on Saturday, May 10, 2025, during a targeted operation by the Airport District Police Command at Aboabo No. 1, a known hotspot in the region.
At a press briefing, Regional Police PRO, DSP Godwin Ahianyo, disclosed that a thorough search of the suspect’s premises uncovered a significant stash of Tramadol—35 packs of 250mg, 28 packs of 120mg, and 11 packs of 225mg—as well as roughly 50 empty cartons believed to have been used for packaging and transporting the drugs.
In addition to the pharmaceutical haul, police recovered GHS 66,950.00 in cash, suspected to be proceeds from the illegal operation. The money has been secured as evidence.
The suspect is currently in custody and assisting police with ongoing investigations.
