The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is in search of a leader who can revitalize the party and secure electoral victories, according to Andy Appiah-Kubi, former Member of Parliament for Asante Akim North.
In an interview with journalists, Appiah-Kubi expressed his confidence in Dr. Bryan Acheampong, the current Abetifi MP and former Agriculture Minister, as the ideal candidate to lead the party into the future.
“He is a symbol of victory,” Appiah-Kubi said of Dr. Acheampong. According to him, Dr. Acheampong possesses the intellectual prowess and business expertise required to lead the party to success.
“If we’re looking for a candidate with intellectual prowess, Bryan is the one. If we want a successful business mogul, he’s that too. So with him, we’re killing two birds with one stone,” Appiah-Kubi remarked.
Appiah-Kubi emphasized that the party’s task is to present a strong candidate who can redeem the NPP.
“Our task is to present a great candidate who can redeem our party, NPP, and Dr. Bryan Acheampong is preparing himself for that mission,” he stated.
Dr. Bryan Acheampong’s emergence as a potential flagbearer has been gaining momentum, and Appiah-Kubi’s endorsement could further bolster his chances.
