
Eleven agencies under the Ministry of Interior has supported the Ghana Medical Trust (Mahama Cares) Fund with a cheque of one million Ghana cedis.
The Fund, which is in fulfillment of the President’s campaign promise is aimed at relieving the financial burden of individuals with chronic diseases.
Mr Christian Tetteh Yohuno, the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), on behalf of the 11 agencies presented the check to President Mahama at the Presidency in Accra yesterday.
President Mahama disclosed that Cabinet has approved the Ghana Medical Trust (Mahama Cares) Fund Bill for onward transmission to Parliament.
