Minister for Education Haruna Iddrisu
In a bid to bolster Ghana’s education sector, government has announced plans to recruit 50,000 teachers and 10,000 non-teaching staff in 2025.
The Minister for Education Haruna Iddrisu revealed this in parliament, stating that these recruitment are aimed at strengthening administrative and support systems in schools nationwide.
The Minister added that the recruitment process will begin once the Finance Minister grants financial clearance and the Auditor-General completes a payroll audit to eliminate ghost names.
He made these remarks while responding to an urgent question on the floor of Parliament.
