
Bridget Otoo
Bridget Otoo, Ghanaian broadcast journalist and media personality, has been appointed as a Presidential Staffer in charge of Government Communications by President John Dramani Mahama.
The appointment was officially announced by the Presidency on Friday, June 27, 2025.
In a heartfelt Facebook post reflecting on her appointment, Bridget Otoo expressed deep gratitude for being considered for a role at the highest level of government, describing her new appointment as both “an incredible privilege” and “a duty I intend to prove myself worthy of.”
She thanked President John Mahama and First Lady Lordina Mahama for their personal support, as well as other key figures including Presidential Advisor Joyce Bawa Mogtari, Deputy Chief of Staff Stan Xoese Dogbe, and Minister for Government Communications Felix Kwakye Ofosu, who she described as welcoming and gracious.
“To the NDC grassroots supporters and foot soldiers, and to all others too numerous to name,” she added, “thank you for standing by me” she wrote.
With her extensive experience in journalism and advocacy, Otoo is poised to bring a fresh perspective to the administration’s public engagement and media interactions.
