
The Ghana Police Service has taken action against one of its officers who assaulted a GHOne TV journalist during the Ablekuma North parliamentary rerun.
‎According to a press release signed by Assistant Superintendent of Police Richmond Mensah, the officer involved has been removed from election duty and placed under interdiction.‎
The statement explained that the officer has also been referred to the Police Professional Standards Bureau (PPSB) for investigation, in line with the Service’s internal disciplinary procedures.‎
‎The Police assured the public that a full and thorough investigation will be conducted into the matter and promised to provide further updates as they become available.‎
