Davies Korboe - Chairman, African Coconut Group

Chairman of the African Coconut Group, Mr. Davies Korboe has lauded government for its continuous support for the growth of the Coconut sector in Ghana.

According to Mr. Korboe, despite his outfit’s inability to  organize the event in 2020 and 2021 due to Covid-19, government, through the Ghana Exports Promotions Authority, (GEPA) the Ministry of Agriculture and other agencies exhibited unrelenting support to the activities of the group.

Speaking at the launch of the second edition of the International Coconut Festival in Ellembelle in the Western Region, Mr. Korboe said the African Coconut Group will continue to collaborate more closely with all actors in the  industry to stimulate trade and investment in the agri-food sector in Ghana.

The move according to him, will ” Improve productivity and value and job creation, and strengthen the existing structures to support value addition and push for more exports in order to realize more foreign exchange earnings.”
