Actress, Rosemond Brown popularly known as Akuapem Poloo will today, Friday April 16, 2021, know her fate as an Accra circuit court presided by her Honour Mrs. Christina Cann, prepares to hand down its punishment to the social media personality.
Akuapem Poloo pleaded guilty to the publication of obscene materials and engaging in domestic violence for posting nude pictures with her seven-year-old son in June last year.
Her sentencing was deferred to today for her to undergo a pregnancy test in compliance with the law.
She risks serving jail time of up to three years, a fine not exceeding ¢6,000 or both. She could also be cautioned and sign a bond to be of good behavior.
Ahead of the sentencing, many Ghanaians, including celebrities, Imani Africa President Franklyn Cudjoe, former Auditor General Daniel Yaw Domelevo, and Comedian DKB have taken to social media to plead with the courts to temper justice with mercy.
