“President Akufo-Addo and his appointees are already back to work a day after the declaration of results for the presidential election to wrap up government business for the year,” he said.

He noted that the President has indeed been back to work performing his official duties at the (Jubilee House) while he continues to receive congratulatory messages from colleague heads of state on the continent and around the world.

According to the Minister, the renewal of the President’s mandate is testament of the confidence Ghanaians have in his governance, policies and leadership.

He said government will in the next four years focus on bettering the lives of Ghanaians through creation of opportunities in key sectors of the economy.

Earlier, when the president was declared winner of the elections he promised never to relax because it is a second time, but rather push and ensure he delivered on every single promise he has made.

He also noted that the results of the parliamentary elections indicate to him that Ghanaians want the two leading political parties to work together and that is exactly what he intends to do in his second term.

The president also promised immediately put Ghana back on the path of post-COVID-19 economic recovery path.
