This is a test; I’ll come back stronger – Akuapem Poloo bids farewell as she begins jail time

Actress Rosemond Brown has asked her fans and colleagues in the showbiz industry to pray for her as she serves her three months jail term.

Akuapem Poloo as she is widely known, was sentenced by the Accra Circuit Court for publication of nudity and child abuse.

She was sent to court following the publication of a nude picture she took together with her son in June 2020.

Director of Child’s Rights International Ghana made a complaint to the Domestic Violence and Victims Support Unit (DOVVSU) after the photos went viral and attracted negative comments from the public.

The Actress was convicted on Wednesday but had to undergo a pregnancy test before her prosecution.

Rosemond Brown was prosecuted for “publication of obscene materials and engaging in domestic violence.

Shortly after her sentence, Akuapem Poloo took to her social media page to extend gratitude to her colleagues who stood by her throughout the trial.

She said, her current situation is a test and that she is strong to go through it.

She, however asked for prayers to enable her remain stronger.

“Guys you know your girl is strong. Sometimes in life you have to pass through some things to make you strong to get somewhere. I know it is a test I have to go through. I’m strong, you guys know. Please all that I need is your prayers,” she said in a video posted on her Instagram page.
