Director of communications at the Presidency, Eugene Arhinsays the purported list of Deputy Ministers making the rounds is fake.

Word on the street and on a number of online portals in the country suggests entertainment pundit, music producer and business manager, Mark Okraku Mantey is to serve in Nana Akufo-Addo’s government as a Deputy Minister for Tourism, Arts and Culture.

Also, daughter of Business magnate and owner of the Angel group of companies, Dr Kwaku Oteng is to serve in the President’s second term of office. Francisca Oteng, if reports are anything to go by, will serve as a Deputy Minister for Fisheries and Acquaculture.

However in post on Facebook, Mr. Arhin said no such list has been released from the presidency, urging Ghanaians to disregard it.

“This list/report is completely FAKE, kindly disregard. The President has NOT released any list of Deputy Ministers, neither has he submitted any such list to Parliament. If and when he does, you’ll see it here first”.
