Ghana’s Benjamin Azamati, put up a good show at Wanda Diamond League event held on June 16, 2022.

The 100m record holder debutant completed the race with a 10.15 seconds behind Andre De Grasse of Canada, Reece Prescod of the Great Britain and Akane Simbine of South Africa.

De Grasse, Prescod and Simbine made 10.05 seconds, 10.06 seconds and  10.09 seconds respectively.

It was designed to replace the IAAF Golden League, which had been held annually since 1998. The full sponsorship name is the Wanda Diamond League, the result of an agreement with Wanda Group that was announced in December 2019. The inaugural competition was held in 2010.
