GIJ postpones examination over e-registration chaos
The Ghana Institute of Journalism has postponed its end of semester examinations for level 400 degree and top-up students.
This follows a protest by some students who were prevented from writing their papers yesterday over failure to pay their school fees in full.
Information available to www.newswiregh.com indicate students who were unable to pay at least 60% of their fees and those who could not complete their online registration were prevented from writing the end of semester exams.
This decision by management enraged the students, forcing them to stage the protest to register their displeasure.
The demonstration attracted the police who were invited by the management of the institution to restore order.
Meanwhile, the management of the school have scheduled a meeting with the Students’ Representative Council at 4pm today December 2, 2018 to address the situation.
