The Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection Sarah Adwoa Safo has backtracked on her decision to sack the National Coordinator of the School Feeding Programme, Mrs. Gertrude Quashigah.

The decision comes just two days after the minister in a letter to Mrs. Quashigah said her appointment had been terminated with immediate effect. The letter dated May 18, 2021 also directed Mrs. Quashigah to hand over immediately documents or property in her custody to the Chief Director of the Ministry.

It’s unclear what has led to this about turn in 48 hours, apart from the sector minister attributing to an administrative error.

“I wish to inform you that my earlier letter was as a result of an administrative error” the letter dated May 20, 2021 and addressed to Mrs. Quashigah read.
