One person has reportedly died after four cars crashed into one another at the Legon underpass Tuesday evening.

Several others are said to have sustained varying degrees of injuries when the accident on the University of Ghana underpass on the N4 (Adenta-Accra highway) occurred.

According to the account of an eyewitness at the scene of the accident when reporters of NewsWire GH arrived, the front tyre of one of the cars burst, forcing it to run into an approaching car from the opposite lane.

This led to the other vehicles running into and mangling one another, the result of which means all four vehicles involved in the accident have been damaged beyond repairs.
