The Ministry of Transport says it is reviewing the road traffic regulation, L.I. 2180 to improve road safety and security.

In a press statement issued October 11, 2021, the Ministry of Transport revealed that it is in collaboration with the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority, the National Road Safety Authority and the Motor Traffic and Transport Department of the Ghana Police for the review process.

According to the statement, emerging practices in the road transport industry among other factors necessitated the need for the review to control possible consequences and also adopt internationally best practices.

 The Ministry of Transport has therefore directed the public to submit written inputs and suggestions on the regulations through the its various social media handles.
