Former Senior Minister, now Senior Adviser to President Akufo-Addo, Yaw Osafo Maafo has paid a courtesy call at the cement factory of the brother of former President Mahama, Ibrahim Mahama.

Mr Osafo Maafo’s visit to Dzata cement is to enable him have first hand information on the cement producing plant, located on a 10-acre land near the Tema Port.

Mr Ibrahim Mahama’s Dzata cement prides itself in the use of German technology in the production of its cement. The technology is said to have been developed by Haver and Boecker.

The cement grade being produced by the plant is ordinary Portland cement, which is imported for the plant and then bagged.

The plant has the capacity to produce an average of 120 bags per minute from the two production lines.

Mr Osafo Maafo was welcomed at the plant by the Chief Executive Officer of Engineers and Planners Company Limited, Mr Ibrahim Mahama and was conducted round the facility in Tema on Wednesday, May 5, 2021.
