In his Concurring Opinion in the Judgement delivered by the Supreme Court on the matter of GIBA Vs. Atorney General and NMC on the introduction of LI 2224, which the National Media Commission (2nd defendant in the Case) sought to introduce to regulate media content, this is what Justice Dotse JSC says:
“It is in my resolve to ensure that the freedoms and responsibilities of the media, granted and protected by the article 162 provisions of the Constitution 1992 are not whittled away by the over zealous acts of any constitutional body set up under the Constitution, like the 2nd Defendant”
