Tottenham 1 Chelsea 0 – Third successive defeat handed out to Blues

Tottenham Hotspurs have taken the advantage in their EFL Cup semi-final duel against Chelsea at Wembley.

Tottenham took the lead when English striker and captain Harry Kane was able to keep his cool and converted from a first half penalty awarded his team.

Chelsea and France midfielder Ngolo Kante came close when he hit the bar with a thunderous strike.

Chelsea put in a lot of effort in the second half but were unable to overturn the first half deficit.

Callum Hudson-Odoi who is reported to be a target of Bayern Munich had a good game for the Blues but ultimately Sarri’s team left Wembley with a loss and without a goal.

Chelsea have now lost their last three encounters against their London rivals Tottenham Hotspurs in all competitions.

Could this force Chelsea to make a move for a striker this transfer window?
