A bitter feud has erupted between Ghanaian musician Kelvynboy and his former boss, Stonebwoy, with Kelvynboy accusing Stonebwoy of using “mafia tactics” to hinder his growth and success in the music industry.
In a scathing post on X, Kelvynboy claimed that Stonebwoy’s actions have turned Ghanaians against him, making it difficult for him to achieve his desired level of success. “What exactly do you want from me?” Kelvynboy asked, adding, “You have defamed me, turned majority of Ghanaians against me because you’re a saint and you can never do no wrong. I no dey fit rise to the heights I for dey mainly because of your mafia tactics but Grace dey speak for me regardless…”
The outburst comes on the heels of a recent comment by Stonebwoy, in which he insinuated that his life was at risk while working with Kelvynboy on his Burniton Music label in 2018. This led to the end of their professional relationship and has been a point of contention between the two artists ever since.
Kelvynboy’s rise to fame began when he was signed to Stonebwoy’s Burniton Music Group (BMG), where he gained popularity with his unique Afrobeat style. However, rumors of tension between the two artists began circulating in 2019, with accusations of ungratefulness and disrespect towards Stonebwoy.
The situation escalated, leading to the termination of Kelvynboy’s contract with BMG in September 2019.
Despite efforts to mend their relationship, the two artists have continued to exchange subtle jabs on social media, with the latest outburst from Kelvynboy bringing the feud back into the spotlight.
The music industry is watching with bated breath as the drama unfolds, with fans and industry insiders weighing in on the situation.
As the feud continues to simmer, one thing is clear: the relationship between Kelvynboy and Stonebwoy has reached a boiling point, and it remains to be seen how it will all play out.
