The Archdiocese of Accra of the Greek Orthodox Church of Ghana brought together more than 150 young people on Saturday, September 13, for a vibrant national youth gathering marked by prayer, fellowship, and renewed commitment to the Church.
The event, held with the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Daniel, was organized by the youth themselves under the spiritual guidance of Archimandrite Aidesios Mukeke. It aimed to strengthen unity and deepen faith among young Orthodox Christians across the country.

Addressing the gathering, Archbishop Daniel encouraged the youth to remain steadfast in their calling within the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church. He also announced the start of theological lessons on October 10, inviting all who wish to deepen their knowledge of the faith to participate.
In his message, Archimandrite Aidesios Mukeke thanked the youth for their zeal, noting that the Church without its youth is not truly the Church. He called on them to play an active role in the mission of the Orthodox community in Ghana.

Also speaking at the event, Rev. Fr. Irineos Opoku highlighted the ancient roots of the Orthodox faith under the Patriarchate of Alexandria and All Africa, reminding participants that they are heirs to an Apostolic Church that traces its foundation directly to the time of the Apostles.
