Kumasi Asante Kotoko has agreed to pay departing head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum a severance package of $16,000.
Ogum, who rejoined the team in July 2023, faced challenges in the second half of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season, culminating in his exit after a 2-0 loss to Nations FC.
During his tenure, Ogum guided Kotoko to the semifinals of the MTN FA Cup, showcasing his capabilities despite the team’s struggles.
The loss to Nations FC extended Kotoko’s winless streak to four matches, leaving them in fourth place on the league table with 47 points.
Ogum’s departure was officially confirmed by the club, which is now looking to new leadership to improve their fortunes. Despite his exit being cut short due to poor results, Ogum will receive the $16,000 severance pay, marking the end of his current tenure with the club.
