
Dada Kwaku Duah, popularly known as Dada KD, a renowned Ghanaian Highlife musician, has passed away at the age of 56. According to family sources, he died on Friday, May 16, 2025, after a brief illness.
Dada KD was a respected figure in Ghana’s music industry, known for his soulful voice and heartfelt lyrics. He leaves behind a legacy of nine albums, including “Somugye”, “Ebeboawo”, “Obiara Se Aye”, and “Odo Mu Anigyebi”.
The musician’s hits, such as “Fatia Fata Nkrumah”, continue to receive extensive airplay, and his contributions to Ghanaian music have been widely recognized. He won the Best Male Vocalist award at the 2004 Ghana Music Awards (UK).
