The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has called on government appointees to uphold the highest standards of integrity and humility in their roles.
During a visit to Jubilee House, Otumfuo emphasized that the appointees have been entrusted with significant responsibilities by President John Dramani Mahama and the people of Ghana.
The monarch stressed that the appointees’ performance would directly reflect on the president and the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
He urged them to align with President Mahama’s zero-tolerance policy on corruption and to diligently support the administration’s initiatives.
“Appointees must recognize that their actions will either bring honour or shame to the government and the country as a whole,” Otumfuo stated. “If they support the president diligently, Ghanaians will recognize his performance, and it will bring honour to the NDC and Ghana.”
The Asantehene’s remarks serve as a reminder to public officials of their duty to serve the nation with dedication and integrity. His visit to Jubilee House underscores his commitment to promoting responsible governance and national development.
